Dr. Mahy is a Professor at Brock University. She received her Hon BSc in Psychology from the University of Toronto, PhD from the University of Oregon, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Geneva.

Dr. Mahy is the director of the Developing Memory and Cognition Lab. Her research is funded by NSERC, SSHRC, and an Early Researcher Award from the 
Ontario Government.

Ege Kamber, M.A.

Ege is a PhD student in the DMC Lab. Ege got his undergraduate and Masters degree from Bogazici University in Turkey. 
Ege is interested in the development of future-oriented skills especially saving behavior. In his masters thesis, Ege examined the social and cognitive correlates of saving behaviour in early childhood and adulthood.

Madi Maguire

Madi is a MA student in the DMC Lab. Madi is involved with several projects on children's prospective memory, procrastination, and saving behaviour. Her MA thesis project focuses on the relation between procrastination, attentional difficulties, and perfectionism in preschool aged children.

Edyta Houshang Tehrani

Edyta is a MA student in the DMC Lab. Edyta is interested in children's procrastination and the impact of affective forecasting on their decision making as well as how giftedness might influence children's procrastination behaviour. Edyta's MA project focuses on the effect of emotion simulation on procrastination in young children and how procrastination affects children's mood.

​Tessa Mazachowsky (PhD 2022; Novel ways to measure future-oriented cognition: Using parent-report measures and open-ended responses to explore young children’s future thinking development) is currently working as a Research Officer, Institutional and Strategic Programs at the Office of Research Services at Brock University.


Taissa Fuke (MA 2022; Executive and Retrospective Memory Processes in Preschoolers’ Prospective Memory Development) is currently working as a Research Analyst at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and a Clinical Associate at PsychoEd Clinic, Toronto.

Samantha Moeller (MA 2021; Adults' perceptions of forgetful children: The impact of child age, domain, and memory type) is currently a Research Ethics Coordinator at Wilfrid Laurier University.
